These guys are great. I've seen other videos of them. They make guns from scrap metal and foot-powered lathes. I too wonder about how they get primers. Everything about guns is actually rather easy and safe to make except primers. The experts themselves who market primers even have occasional explosions. An easy safe homemade primer technique would be a significant contribution to personal freedom.

Not a place i would want to live and prosper in, i would suspect the lifespans there are very short

I am what Obama calls a (god and gun guy) so i am very opposed to gun regulation in any form...but this video ALMOST changes my mind

I actually beleive they make the guns by hand.
A few years ago I watched a show on PBS that showed the same people making the blades for jet turbines to be used in American aircraft.
They are so precise with a small hammer that they actually made high quality jet turbine blades. The only thing that needed to be done before these hand made blades could be used was to ballance them before installation.
Unbeleivable hand and eye skill!

Not difficult to comprehend when you realize these people have been doing everything "the hard way" (themselves) for a hell of a long time. When you make do with what you got for a long enough period of time, I imagine some pretty amazing things can be done with next to nothing.

Another example: look at how the Cubans have managed to keep those 1950s automobiles running...
